Ruhla Clocks 2

As well as producing watches, VEB Ruhla also produced clocks and instruments. Below are some examples of more alarm clocks made by Ruhla. (see also Ruhla Clocks)

    • Hello Amz,

The clocks were very fashionable during the 1960s/1970s. This Europa was produced in the mid 1970s into the early 1980s before quatrz clocks became widely available. The clocks were sold through a variety of outlets, jewellers shops, department stores and mail order catalogues. Europa is one of the Export brands that used Ruhla products. The movement is a standard 2 jewel movement. As with Ruhla watches, the clocks were produced in many different designs and colours.

Thank you for your interest in Ostalgie-Ruhla Watches of the GDR.

I have a sumatic travel alarm clock in its case but have no operating instructions. Is this something that you can email to me. The clock is grey in colour with a blue/black dial that glows in the dark.
I hope that you can help with my request

    Best regards
